2025 End of the Year Newsletter
Dec 2025As 2025 comes to a close, thank you for being part of the Sora Union community. Your trust and partnership continue to inspire us to innovate and create meaningful impact together.
This year, we expanded our services with new Code, UI/UX, QA, and Data Infrastructure Audits, enhanced our Brand Audit, and delivered integrated solutions such as database development and AI-driven copilots. Our customer base grew by 24%, reflecting strong partnerships across industries and stages.
We fostered innovation through our first-ever AI Hackathon, launched impactful internal tools, and engaged globally at events including #Innovate4Refugees and the Wilson Center roundtable. We were also honored to be a finalist for Human Company of the Year at the TLC Lions Awards.
Despite being a distributed team, we strengthened connections through global meetups in Buenos Aires and Lagos, with more to come.
As we look toward 2026, we remain committed to our mission to bring the superpowers of distributed work to people displaced or at risk of displacement due to conflict and climate change.
Sora Union Joins Innovate4Refugees to Advance Tech for Social Impact
Sep 2025Sora Union Co-Founders Nate Dalton and Sophia Wajnert attended #Innovate4Refugees, an event exploring the frontiers of using technology for social good. Hosted by USA for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, we were thrilled to be part of the conversation, joining other leaders to explore how innovation can address the urgent needs of refugees and create lasting, positive change.
The event’s theme—open technology innovations for livelihoods—aligns closely with what we do. By tapping into a diverse, globally distributed pool of skilled professionals who are displaced or at risk of displacement due to conflict or climate change, we offer our customers a competitive edge in Design, Software Engineering, and QA. We demonstrated that a commitment to a social mission can also lead to superior quality, innovative solutions, and a more robust business model. We’re proud to have created opportunities while delivering world-class results for our customers.
It was inspiring to engage with fellow innovators and contribute to this important conversation.

Wilson Center | Refugee and Forced Displacement Initiative
March 2025In March, Sora Union was honored to participate in two events hosted by the Wilson Center | Refugee and Forced Displacement Initiative: the Private Roundtable on Refugee Talents and Opportunities and the Special Public Event Honoring Refugee Host Country Leadership. These events highlighted the incredible efforts of nations that have welcomed and supported displaced communities. Through insightful discussions with Amb. Robie Kakonge of Uganda and Amb. Viorel Ursu of Moldova - both recipients of the prestigious Refugee Host Country Leadership Award for their outstanding commitment to hosting refugees - one message stood out: when refugees are given opportunities, they not only rebuild their lives but also contribute in meaningful and transformative ways.
At Sora Union, we see this every day. As a company committed to hiring displaced professionals, we believe that talent knows no borders. By providing employment opportunities to those forced to leave their homes due to conflict or climate change, we not only help rebuild lives but also foster economic growth, innovation, and cultural diversity.
We are proud to stand alongside leaders and organizations dedicated to creating a more inclusive and resilient future. Together, we can turn displacement into opportunity.
